Our Mission: At Pickerington Schools, our English Learner department is committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students of diverse linguistic backgrounds thrive academically, linguistically, and culturally. Our mission is to provide personalized, research-based instruction that empowers English Learners to develop proficiency in language skills, critical thinking, and socio-cultural competence. Through innovative teaching practices, collaborative partnerships, and a culturally responsive approach, we strive to equip students with the language tools and confidence needed to succeed in an interconnected world.
Our Vision: Pickerington Schools serves over 1000 English Learners. We are a very diverse community. Our students and families come from over 88 countries and speak more than 73 languages!

Free Language Assistance
Pickerington Schools provides free language assistance to all students and families.

Pickerington Schools will take reasonable steps to ensure that persons with Limited English Proficiency (LEP) have meaningful access and an equal opportunity to participate in all services, activities, and programs available throughout the district.
