Pickerington High School North Senior Kamryn Dansby Wins at the CAPA Marquee Awards!
May 12, 2025 - Pickerington, OH - We are thrilled to announce that Pickerington High School North (PHSN) senior Kamryn Dansby has been named a winner at this year’s CAPA Marquee Awards—an incredible achievement in high school musical theatre across central Ohio!
With this prestigious win, Kamryn has earned the honor of representing PHSN, and Pickerington Local Schools at the National High School Musical Theatre Awards, better known as The Jimmy Awards. She'll spend 10-days (all expenses paid) in New York City from Friday, June 13 through Tuesday, June 24, and the experience will culminate in an extraordinary talent showcase performed live in front of an audience on a Broadway stage.
Often called the "Tony Awards" for high school musical theatre, The Jimmy Awards bring together the nation’s top student performers for an unforgettable experience. Kamryn will travel to New York City for a week-long theatre intensive training with Broadway professionals, vocal coaches, choreographers, and directors. The journey culminates in a Broadway-stage performance, where the best of the best are recognized at the national level. The sixteenth annual Jimmy Awards will take place on Monday, June 23, 2025, at the Minskoff Theatre.
Among more than 145,000 students nationwide eligible to compete this year, Kamryn has secured her place as one of the Top 50 female performers in the country—an extraordinary honor that speaks to her talent, dedication, and the inspiration she brings to our school.
This achievement is truly something to celebrate! Please join us in congratulating Kamryn Dansby.
