    How These Projects Benefit Our Community

    These construction projects enhance educational opportunities, foster collaboration, and create facilities that benefit the entire Pickerington community, from students to residents attending events.

    Funding Sources

    • $90 Million Bond Levy: Supporting high school additions, Ridgeview Junior High renovations, and the new Pickerington Central Junior High School.
    • $30 Million Locally Funded Initiatives (LFI): Funding the new Pickerington Early Learning Center (ELC), stadium upgrades, turf fields, and additional improvements.
  • Pickerington High School North & Central Additions

    Completion Date: July 2025 (Opening for the 2025-2026 school year)

    • Pickerington High School Central:
      • 24 classrooms
      • Repurposed Media Center with flexible-use space
      • Distributed dining area to reduce congestion in the cafeteria
    • Pickerington High School North:
      • 21 new classrooms
      • The renovated Media Center adds five (5) flexible classroom spaces
      • Expanded capacity to meet growing enrollment needs
  • Pickerington Central Junior High School

    Anticipated Completion Date: January 2026

    A brand-new 143,000-square-foot junior high school offering modern learning spaces to support our growing student population.

  • Recently Completed Projects

    • Pickerington High School Central Stadium: Opened August 2024, enhancing athletic and community events.
    • New Turf Fields: Installed at both Pickerington High School Central, and Pickerington High School North, in July 2023, providing safer and more versatile athletic spaces.
    • Pickerington High School Central: New Bleachers - upgraded in October 2023, to improve the game-day experience for spectators.
    • Pickerington Early Learning Center (ELC): Opened July 2024, fostering an engaging environment for our youngest learners.

    The District monitors growth projections and designs new buildings with flexibility to accommodate future needs.
